Exciting News! YOGADOO is running two full days of Children's Yoga and mini-mindfulness classes over the Easter holidays. After all the chocolate-fuelled egg-citement (sorry!) of Easter, how about a fun-packed day of games, crafts and an introduction to Yoga? Suitable for Primary School aged children with no previous experience of Yoga necessary (although if they have done Yoga before they are very welcome) Spaces are limited to 15 children and this is a full-day of activity from 8:30am-5:30am.
The themes of the day is 'Our Living Planet' (Tuesday) and 'Travelling Back in Time' (Thursday) and during the day children will:
- Learn basic Yoga Poses connected with the theme
- Learn and practice a basic flow of Yoga called the Sun Salutation or Sun Dance
- Play lots of Yoga Games
- Work together on Group poses
- Have a go at Yoga-themed arts and crafts
- Learn about how our breathing can affect how we feel, including learning basic relaxation
- Mini-mindfulness techniques including how we can learn to focus on one thing at a time
- And lots more!
Children are asked to wear loose, comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for outdoors as if the weather is nice we will go into the garden. Please bring a packed lunch and enough snacks for the day as well as a refillable water bottle.
The full day's activities cost £35 which includes all craft materials. Half day activities are available (from 9am-12pm or 1pm-5pm) Sibling Discounts are available. (The day will run from 9am-5:30pm but the children are welcome to bring a snack or book to read from 8:30am-9am or 5pm-5:30pm.)
