Since having our son (who is now 7) I have seen first hand what an incredible bonding experience Yoga can have for Parents and children who practice Yoga together. That's why when I launched YOGADOO, I was keen to include After School classes which are open to Parents and Primary School aged children to enjoy Yoga and Mindfulness together.
For me, it's the perfect way for everyone to wind down after a busy day. So we're starting an After School Club with a difference, the YOGADOO after school club is for Primary School aged children AND their parents/carers! The first class starts on Monday 20th June from 3:45pm-4:45pm at All Saints Centre in Weston Village and there's a second class on Tuesday 21st June from 3:45pm-4:45pm at Widcombe Social Club in Bath. The classes will run for five weeks.
You can pay as you go for £7.50 per class or you can book a block of three classes for £20 - this covers both Primary-school aged child and grown up attending the class, Siblings come along for free!) There are 15 spaces per class and pupils from any primary school are welcome. No previous experience of Yoga required.
Each class is themed and parents and children go on a 'Yoga Journey' together where they will learn Yoga poses, learn basic acro-Yoga, play Yoga games and learn relaxation and mini Mindfulness techniques along the way. And you'll learn Yoga and Mindfulness skills you can take away and practice together in the comfort of your own home.
Yogis are asked to wear comfortable clothes which they can move easily in, for example; jogging bottoms/t-shirts/leggings. Yoga is best practiced in bare feet (socks if necessary). Yoga mats are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you would prefer.
