YOGADOO is very happy to announce that we are growing our teaching team! Bath Yoga teacher, Emma Hughes is joining YOGADOO founder, Lucy Aston to teach children, young people and adults across Bath and beyond.
Emma is a fully trained adults teacher and has had books published about children's yoga, and will start by teaching the YOGADOO for teens class on Tuesdays and will build up her classes over the coming months including teaching an introduction to Ashtanga class.
Emma said: "My mum practices yoga, my gran practiced yoga and so it was likely, yoga would always play a part in my life. Now in my early (ahem, very early) forties, I’ve been rolling out my mat for some twenty or so years. I LOVE yoga. I love what it can do for our bodies; keeping them in good shape, as well as helping our minds to be healthy also."
Emma added: "One of the amazing things about yoga, is ANYONE can practice – absolutely anyone, anywhere. You don’t have to be a Bendy Wendy or Supple Steve – just showing up at your mat, breathing and moving is all that’s required to maintain a regular practice."
Founder of YOGADOO, Lucy Aston: "Emma is completely on board with the YOGADOO ethos of teaching accessible yoga to everyone. Emma's roots are in Ashtanga Yoga; a dynamic style of yoga which connects the breath with the movement of the body. She will teach a modified version of Ashtanga Yoga, which will make her classes accessible and fun for everyone, of all abilities. You might sweat, you might feel the burn but you'll definitely have a giggle and feel good."
Lucy said "Several rounds of coffee later and I’m proud to announce Emma as a part of the YOGADOO team."
"Yup, I drink coffee, sometimes go to bed too late and enjoy puddings and pies – but hey, I’m also a real person practicing yoga" said Emma.
Emma added: "I’m a mum and have a huge passion for teaching yoga to children and young adults. Start them young I say – yoga is a tool for life. I’ve also written a couple of books, introducing mindfulness and yoga to younger children."
